The Palo Verde Elementary School District No. 49 of Maricopa County, Arizona (the “District"), will hold a special 14% maintenance and operation budget override election on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Any persons wishing to submit a statement "for" or "against" the proposed 14% budget override (not to exceed 200 words) may do so by mail or hand delivery of the statement to the Maricopa County School Superintendent's office, 4041 N. The superintendent is interested in forming a focus group for the 2013-2014 school year. This group, composed of parent, community, and school staff members, would meet periodically to provide input and opinions on a variety of school district topics. Notification is required to inform building occupants at least once each school year about inspections, response actions, and post-response action activities, including periodic reinspection and surveillance activities that are planned or in progress at each school K-12 in accordance with AHERA. The EPA requires every school to have an asbestos management plan.
